The Wichita County Sheriff's Office, working with the Wichita Falls and Amarillo Criminal Investigation Divisions of the Texas Department of Public Safety, arrested two people in a child predator investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators say the suspect, identified as Caissie, planned to travel to Wichita Falls to engage in sexual activity with a child. Debra Jean Caissie was also arrested in connection with the investigation.
The Amarillo Texas DPS Criminal Investigation Division assisted in executing a search warrant at the suspect's apartment in Amarillo, according to authorities.
Caissie was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Randall County Jail, the sheriff's office said.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released. All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
