Lawton High School evacuated Tuesday during bomb threat investigation

Lawton High School was evacuated Tuesday afternoon while law enforcement investigated a bomb threat, Lawton Public Schools confirmed.

The evacuation began at 12:52 p.m. on April 22. A district spokesperson said students were with staff members and safe.

Officials asked families not to come to the school building while law enforcement cleared it, and said the district would send an update regarding end-of-day procedures once the investigation progressed.
