Iowa Park Consolidated Independent School District Superintendent Kevin McCasland told staff he plans to meet with the school board about his resignation, according to a letter he sent to district employees on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
McCasland was hired roughly two years ago. In the letter, he expressed gratitude toward the district and community and said he hopes IPCISD will continue to excel, calling it "the best district in the State of Texas."
McCasland did not state a specific reason for the departure in the message to staff, but indicated he and his family are pursuing new opportunities.
The school board had not formally accepted a resignation as of the time of reporting, and no successor has been named.
