The family of a Wichita Falls man wounded in the April 20, 2026, shooting at the Brigadoon Apartments described his condition and the long road of recovery ahead in an interview with KFDX/KJTL.

Jessica Sinclair said her fiancé, Bryan Bolduc, was struck in the chest when Jeremy Gibson allegedly opened fire into their apartment. According to Sinclair, the bullet's path lacerated Bolduc's liver and collapsed his right lung.

"It shattered his T12 vertebra, and a piece of it splintered off and severed completely his spinal column, his spinal cord," Sinclair said. "It's a complete injury, which means it's going to be permanent."

Sinclair said Bolduc is paralyzed from the waist down. She said her dog, Trinity, intervened during the attack and was shot twice before running off, and that her son helped apply pressure to Bolduc's wound until help arrived.

"Our dog and my son saved his life," Sinclair said.

Sinclair said the family is now adjusting to the practical realities of his injuries, including the need for an adjustable bed, a custom wheelchair and continuing medical care.

The shooting suspect, Jeremy Gibson, was previously identified by police in connection with the incident. All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
